EA electronic and regenerative loads are designed to deliver both high efficiency and flexibility across a wide range of applications. Regenerative models recover more than 96% of energy and feed it back to the grid, helping to reduce heat, noise, and overall cooling costs.
True autoranging ensures maximum power is absorbed across a broad range of voltage and current levels, while optional control interfaces make integration into manufacturing environments straightforward.
Power ratings range from 1.5kW to 30kW, with voltage capability up to 2000V DC, and built in function generators to support dynamic testing. For larger requirements, parallel rack systems can be configured to reach up to 3.84MW.
They can recover up to 96.5% of absorbed energy, returning it to the AC grid, which reduces energy costs and heat generation
These supplies deliver maximum power across a wide range of voltages and currents, enhancing flexibility in testing applications
Built-in waveform generation capabilities, including arbitrary waveforms, facilitate comprehensive testing without the need for additional equipment
AC, DC, AC+DC, DC+AC, and 6-form configurations for multi-channel capability
The EA-ELR DC Regenerative Load features autoranging, delivering maximum power across a wide range of voltages and currents—even down to 33% of the rated output. Unlike traditional power supplies, which only reach full power at maximum voltage and current, autoranging ensures your battery tester maintains full output under real-world conditions. This allows a single tester to handle multiple voltage and current combinations, eliminating the need for multiple power supplies and streamlining battery testing workflows.
EA regenerative loads and bidirectional supplies recover up to 96% of sunk energy, feeding it back into the facility grid via a mains-synchronized inverter. Unlike traditional loads that waste energy as heat, recovered power can be reused onsite or exported to the public grid.
Many EA supplies and loads feature a built-in function generator for driving voltage or current with standard or arbitrary waveforms, including sequenced outputs. This capability scales in parallel systems and enables advanced tests such as solar cell simulation with MPP tracking, inverter efficiency per CSN EN 50530, and automotive standards LV123, LV124, and LV148.
For the highest energy density needs and future-oriented applications, the EA-10000 Industrial Series is available. 6U form factors offer up to 60kW of power, and 19” rack solutions mean you can deliver 300kW of power from only 0.6 m2 of floor space. Combine up to 13 racks for 3.84MW of bidirectional power delivery and recovery. The industrial series are available as a unidirectional power supply (PU), bidirectional power supply (PUB), and regenerative electronic load (PUL).
Water-cooled models ensure stable operation in harsh industrial environments, efficiently dissipate heat, reduce noise, and maintain reliability under challenging conditions.
