The ELZ Series is a regenerative electronic load equipped with an optional PHIL interface, enabling accurate emulation of both linear and non-linear AC and DC loads. It delivers up to 55 kVA within a single cabinet and can be scaled up to 550 kVA in parallel configurations, with three-phase systems reaching beyond 1.1 MW. Powered by three high-performance DSPs, the ELZ Series offers advanced loading capabilities, including precise circuit emulation, making it a robust solution for complex testing requirements.

Perform complete AC and DC power testing with true bidirectional, 4-quadrant operation. This programmable AC/DC electronic load supports full 4-quadrant capability, enabling precise control of real and reactive power while allowing adjustment of power factor, current crest factor, current waveform, and more.

Regenerative AC/DC Electronic Load capability with both AC and DC operating modes pushes the boundaries of your test environment. Simulate linear and non-linear loads (including rectified), inductive and capacitive loads.

Most Flexible Input Configuration for AC/DC Load Simulation

Simultaneous AC and DC load operation is supported per phase (or channel), with automatic input mode switching to give test engineers maximum flexibility. Configurations include single-phase, split-phase, three-phase, and multi-channel setups, with optional isolated neutrals available for both AC and DC.

Power Hardware in the Loop with High Speed Analog I/O (Option H)

The ELZ is optimized for real-time Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation. Its high-speed analog inputs and outputs deliver rapid response for precise control of frequency, voltage, current, and waveform. At the same time, voltage and current feedback signals are captured and returned to the real-time simulation system, ensuring accurate closed-loop operation.
